Visa Study Reveals Opportunity to Grow Consumer Awareness of Mobile Money in Nigeria
Visa announces the Nigeria findings from the Mobile Money Study it launched in October 2012, which reveal the market’s potential to lead the world. Despite the staggering market potential the study reveals that only 35 per cent of respondents are aware of mobile money versus an average of 56 per cent across all six of the emerging markets surveyed.

Visa announces the Ghana findings from the Mobile Money Study it launched in October 2012, which demonstrate that 93% of Ghanaians are aware of mobile money. According to the study, 88% of respondents in Ghana cited “safety of not having to carry around a lot of cash” as the primary benefit of mobile money.
