Fundamo kickstarts training programme for foreigners

 

Fundamo has this week kick-started its debut Product Training Programme on the back of increasing demand from international partners. The global provider of mobile banking and payment software solutions will play host to several participants from Brazil, Nigeria, Rwanda and Angola as well as South Africa.

 

The participants, who come from various organizations associated with Fundamo, will undergo 10 days of intensive training on the Fundamo Product Suite at their head offices, based in the beautiful surroundings of Cape Town.

 

“We are answering the need expressed by our customers and resellers. They want to ensure that their people on the ground understand the products, installation processes and are knowledgeable of our front end and security features, so we are providing the solution” says Rosemarie Wilken, Regional Executive at Fundamo

The training session will be split into theory and practical hands-on learning. Rosemarie Wilken, and Lenie Olivier, System Training and Software Tester will be running the theoretical training whilst Freddie Bannister and Andre Pio, both Deployment Specialists for Fundamo, will be running the technical sessions.

 

The company, which also has partners in Pakistan, the US, the Middle East and Europe, will look to schedule further training throughout the year, as their clients , partners and re-sellers require. ‘With a number of further deployments set to happen this year we will be hosting further training programs. This is an indication of the growing demand and acknowledges Fundamo’s expertise. More and more of our global partners are sending their technical and sales staff to us to ensure they benefit from the latest industry insight, and we very much look forward to hosting them”, Rosemarie Wilken concludes.

 

 

Money Transfers, Dubai 28th April 2008 – Aletha Ling

As a leader in the mobile money remittance space Fundamo will be present at the conference, represented by Aletha Ling, Head of Business Development, who has been invited to speak at the Money Transfers Dubai 2008 Conference.

Following the huge success of the three consecutive annual money transfers conferences in London, the global remittances industry think tank IAMTN has decided to launch the MONEY TRANSFERS DUBAI 2008.

The conference will cover regulation, global business development, customer’s behaviour, technology and investment potential amongst others.  MTD2008 is aimed at Executive level money transfer professionals, as well as consultants, lawyers, investment bankers and IT solution providers, working with or interested in the remittances industry.

Mobile Money Transfer Summit, Cairo 14th – 15th May 2008 Hannes van Rensburg, Rosemarie Wilken, Reg Swart

Fundamo will have a substantial presence at the Mobile Money Transfer Summit in Cairo this May, with Hannes van Rensburg, CEO of Fundamo, speaking at the Summit on the 15th May.  Reg Swart and Rosemarie Wilken, Regional Executives, will also be in attendance where Fundamo will be showcasing their Mobile Wallet.

Fundamo provides the technology for the GSMA MMT MAP project which has been launched to enable mobile operators to pilot financial services in a fast and cost effective manner. The Mobile Wallet is seen to the ideal vehicle to provide financial services to millions of people around the world without a bank account.

Gemalto Mobile Marketing Forum, France 19th – 22nd May 2008, Rosemarie Wilkens

Fundamo’s Regional Executive, Rosemarie Wilken, will be attending the Gemalto Mobile Marketing Forum in France on the 19th May 2008.  The Mobile Marketing Forum was first held in 2003 as a forum where Gemalto could invite its top customers to share experiences and give feedback in a professional but relaxed setting. Since then, this event has become an important, annual part of the mobile communications calendar and in total has gathered together over 400 customers to hear and learn from over 50 operator case studies.

Now limited to 100 guests per year, this event has grown into a major conference with top keynote speakers, showrooms to present both Gemalto and Partner solutions, workshops and training sessions to get to grips with the latest advances in mobile technology, not to mention networking and social activities.

FST Summit MENA, Doha 27th – 29th May 2008

Fundamo will be attending this exclusive Summit attended by a select group of the most senior-level IT Executives in the Middle Eastern financial services market.

Fundamo will be attending alongside Clickatell, a world leading communication provider specialising in bulk messaging services and SMS gateway connectivity.

Barcelona: 11-14 February 2008

 

Fundamo will be demonstrating with Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, how their platform can help launch a mobile wallet offering.  As part of a GSMA pilot initiative to promote the implementation of mobile wallets worldwide in 2008, the companies teamed to allow Mobile Network Operators to deploy, operate and fine tune a Mobile Wallet service prior to full scale mobile wallet service deployment.  A presentation introducing the GSMA Mobile Accelerator Programme will be made by Accenture on 11th February at the Mobile Money Transfer Seminar and a full demonstration of the Mobile Wallet Pilot concept can be seen at the GSM World Congress at the Accenture and GSMA Exhibition Stands, as well as the GSMA Vendor Meeting on the 13th February .

Fundamo and their local reseller, BSI Tecnologia will be jointly participating in the NextGen Telecoms Summit in Brazil.

 

The Summit brings foremost C-level players together to discuss the strategies and approaches that they are employing with leading service and product vendors in order to gain an understanding and identify mutual opportunities within the Latin American market.

 

The format includes expert workshops, facilitated roundtables, peer-to-peer networking, and coordinated technology meetings.

FUNDAMO PRESENTS AT CARTES 2007

 

On Tuesday 13th November, Fundamo’s Regional Executive, Rosemarie Wilken, will be presenting an overview of the trends and options involved for consideration when implementing a Mobile Banking and Payments Solution.
